Ascension

Hey. Cs refugee. Can somebody explain the Ascension system? Is there any relegation? G2, for example, is a pretty good team. What happens to their slot in 2026?

if they make champs -> keep spot
top 8 -> compete in ascension to keep their spot
bottom 4 -> relegated

If they make it to champions then they stay if they make playoffs for stage 2 then they run the tourney for ascension and if they miss playoffs and champs they don't get a shot at their own spot until next year replaying tier 2 all over again

so if G2 (or 2Game (the other asc team) lmao) makes champs they are auto renewed for next year.
If you make Top 8 but not champs you go back to Ascension (after Champs) and have a chance to win your slot for 2026 back. and if you're just bottom 4 shitter you go back to Tier 2. and in the case of both teams making it to champs its based on the highest placement

so if G2 got 2nd they would stay and 2G got 4th they would go to Ascension 2025 to try winning their 2026 slot vs the other Ascension teams from the region in T2.

So if this year in some division, 2 ascension teams are dog. both eliminated or 1 change per year?
