Indeed, but even in 2023 after they released yay and everyone had them doomed to fail they did pretty good

they also did good in the regular season in stage 1 and didn’t qualify. everyone just accepted that c9 are good in zero pressure games. i think if they had the same mentality as TH (benjy said they were playing for fun in shanghai) then they would actually make it to events

See #6 plus this year they had one of the cheapest vct rosters in Americas and they still performed way above expectations.

Not to say they were contenders or anything, but when you consider many people didn't even expect them to make playoffs they surpassed expectations...

Ngl I have high expectations for NRG, especially after they defeated SEN (arguably the NA super team) with their new roster.

Speaking of GX, if they manage to be an upper mid team (above 6th place in EMEA) I would consider it as a W for them. Though I believe they have the raw talent to be a really scary dark horse with crazy upset potential, they just need to focus more on their consistency....
