that makes no sense, y would u want less rounds on your strong side. no one ever picks attack on ascent for that reason
there are alot of teams that do pick attack ascent and split first.
This topic is down to each individual team and how they want to play the game. Its very personal preference

Sentinels. They Pick attack first on sunset to finish the map on their stronger side. Its easier to have better comebacks on your stronger side.
Im not saying it happens every map pick but for decider maps it happens a even amount of the time.
