So this thread I will talk about Gekko and how it might influence the Meta both in Ranked and VCT.
First let me review the abilities:
1) Mosh Pit - Good when you combine it with astra pull, breach concuss or fade util. It's high time people discover lineups for this.
2) Flash - Honestly this is the most useless ability on his set. You can't use it like a reyna flash
3) Wingman - Good for defusing or to spot enemies, bad for planting (Yes I said it is the worst thing for planting)
4) Ultimate - Needs a rework to reduce the detained time but is somewhat balanced.
HOW IT HAS MESSED UP THE RANKED META:
People are revolving their team around Gekko which slows down the attack massively. People might think the pro of using Gekko for plant is that you won't die planting and can easily peak angles instead but my concern with this is that if someone is holding site and you use your wingman for plant, it will instantly drop the spike at site. Therefore, making it useless for attack, for DEFENCE, yes it is v good for defuse and in clutch situations where a person can focus on shooting rather than defusing:)
My honest take if Gekko meta will come in VCT:
NO people in VCT have brain and won't shift to this stupid agent,
Ranking Initiators after Gekko introduction:
1) Sova
2) Fade
3) Kayo
4) Breach
5) Gekko
6) Skye

for planting you just need to combo the gekko wingman with some util and a couple of players, then after it plants just play full retake. If u send it in all alone then ofc its gonna die and lose the round.

but I do agree with the overall sentiment that he's not as OP as people thought initially
