Franchising basically means instead of teams qualifying for events through open challengers there will be set number of orgs selected by riot based on their financial conditions to be able to support players and they'll be sporting best players from almost every region of the world and all these teams will only play against each other ....so basically the top tier league of valorant

Basically Valorant is gonna turn into LOL where only selected number of teams will play in a league system and those who don’t need to win their regional challengers and tournament to earn a place in that league for the following year. The league will be played for the Masters and Champions qualification
