riots fault for sure lol, they shouldve announced tier 2 val with the franchise announcement, not the whole information but they shouldve said that there is a way to get into the top competition
it probably wasn't all okay-ed by all the franchise stakeholders at that point
like the sponsors, teams, etc. everyone investing in the franchise needs to be okay with having some teams getting "easier" path in
(easier not in the competitive sense, but that they wouldn't have to deal with the application process)
revenue sharing and other money related stuff may have to be dealt with too
they didnt have to pay for it tho, its either u make it through applications or you qualify, why would a team be mad that someone made it without applying rather by qualifying like why would they care
and riot has made so many false promises anyways that one wouldve hurt the least lmao

Welcome back boys
yeah that's what I thought,
So these orgs who will be in t2 will just act as player farms
And will probably only rake in money through the player buyouts
And maybe just a tiny bit from the t2 tourney money
they will produce a great talent like cryo, zander, zekken, etc and farm a good money from these t1 franchise team
Well, it's tier 2 so the idea would be to invest accordingly to your market. So, players will be much cheaper, and the prize pools will be much smaller. The revenue mostly coming from investors and sponsors. The goal of course would be to reach International to get the stipend and access to International tournaments.
Now, on the org side it's there job to market the brand to sell merch, increase viewership, maybe host events (Knights) etc. And of course selling talent to T1 orgs.
