If MENA gets 1 slot, I feel like Turkey should have 2 at least.

Perhaps they can have a 12-team league, as some already started suggesting is a possibility.

In that case

I don’t see why Turkey should have their own assigned spots like in other Franchises. Obviously Riot is gonna give them at least one slot to get their fanbase, but other than that, they have their own VRL, is like saying Nordics , Spanish, East and the other VRLs need their own slots in franchising

We don’t have go got a spot. All I’m saying is that in the case of EMEA is not like in America where they have to divide spots between the regions. I’m saying in EMEA CIS or Turkey shouldn’t have any more privileges than the other subregions in EMEA

As I said previously, it is about the player base being as big as it is. Turkey has about 6% of the total Valorant players. This is the same percentage as Brazil, and more than for example Philippines/Indonesia. It in fact is the second biggest (together with Brazil) "country" after the U.S (which has 22%).

I mean yesnt, imo no regions in themselves deserve a slot, simply because we have way too many regions in EMEA for it;
however every region should feel represented and thats where i feel like turkey should be getting a team in, just based on historically the language barrier being an issue for a lot of Turkish players joining international teams (since id be worried they'd end up significantly underrepresented from a player-base -> pro player ratio)

It is about representing everyone fairly according to potential and player base in my opinion. It is not right to give Turkey the same number of slots as MENA because Turkey is much bigger in terms of player size. Also check #21.

It is fair to give Turkey as many spots as Turkish teams meet the requirements. My point is there shouldn’t be a minimum or a maximum, just the teams meet whatever Riot requirements are and fit in those 10 teams

Riot’s objective is to have leagues the most popular leagues possible, so evidently they wanna give at least 1 spot to every region to keep people interested. The argument is what happens after that
