FNATIC and FPX are crushing it in europe rn. NA on the other hand seems so random. I think that FNATIC is going to win Copenhagen easily if they continue to play like that, they honestly look like the best team of all time.
Fnatic, Fpx and Guild are the three current best teams in EU
optic, 100T, Eg in NA
Loud is just miles ahead in Br
same in KR with Drx
Prx still seem like the best Apac team
But idk how to rank the different regions. I think EU and NA are pretty much matched but Loud and Drx are always good for surprises so its kinda hard to tell
when did they come in as title fav? the only time they did was in 2021 iceland and they got close to it with a 2nd finish. in champions everyone was underestimating them and some even calling them the worst team in the group who would lose to even the likes of full sense. they then went on to leave the group with first seed, did pretty well as to what was expected from them. and in 2022 no one expected anything from them with 2 subs. they were never the title fav other than 2021 iceland. stop saying random points that are totally incorrect or anecdotal
Ehh when? Masters 2 2021 they were arguably the favorites, but lost to Sentinels twice and in the finals. Sentinels were the dominant team that tournament. Masters 3 2021 they didn't make it. Champions they came as 4th EMEA seed and no one had expectation for them, but they still managed to top their group (like all EMEA teams) and get into playoffs losing to KRU who were on a heater. And in Masters 1 2022 they had 2 subs so that doesn't even count.
They have never come in as title favourites tf are ya talking about lmao. Even in Iceland 2021Liquid was being rated higher while I don't even have to say anything about Champs (fucking full sense was being rated higher by some people, fnatic was literally being called one of the weakest in the tourney by most). Iceland 2022 they played with 2 subs
Playing on LAN is not a big deal
Look at Spirit CSGO, they have very young guys who just came from academy (patsi, s1ren), yet they went to semifinals in Antwerp and these 2 didn't choke like they were "supposed to"
Same for b1t during Stockholm major, he was insane although it was his 1st LAN
Additionally, Magnum always choked on LANs under pressure, Alfajer definitely can't be worse than that
Yeah I don't get this. FPX looks really really good right now, but people for some reason are underrating them. Crazy individual talent, good strats, flexible, can play every map and arguably best preparation/anti-strat out of any team. They read every team they play so well. Also consistent considering that they won last stage and have continued being top 2. And even against Fnatic that was their first game of stage 2 and were playing Ardiis Breach and ANGE1 Yoru on Fracture.
I wouldn’t call it random. For the longest time NA remained stagnant with sen just dominating the domestic scene. Now teams are innovating with new comps, picking up smaller players, and improving daily. This is amazing for the NA scene and give it a new life. I would call the NA scene competitive, which imo is the best you can ask for as it pushes teams to get even better.
NA isnt random, its just teams are really closely matched and one team is better one week but then the other team comes up with new strats and they become the best and that cycle is still going on, so basically theres no team that is dominant in NA like FNC but that might be a good thing because it forces others and themselves to get better
idk what UR on, ZETA had a better run than 100t lol
