its definitely a cultural thing, most western societies dont care for family as much as people from nonwestern cultures. i know a lot of southwest/southeast asian live within in a household with an extended-nuclear family. judging by ur comments u wouldnt understand that, all good tho

I just said whats more realistic and corrected some errors that you guys said such as, you can support family members outside of your house, pay for their living and such. You think Asian parents want your child to give up on their career because they want you to mow their lawn every 2weeks?
Sure, if his mum is sick I would understand but I doubt that since he gets his food delivered to his room by his mum every day lol

Some support may have to come from inside the house, there could be a larger issue with his family that we don't know about. Of course it might just be because he doesn't want to boot camp but you can't just presume that and definitavly say that is the reason when we don't have all the information
