it's just my opinion
KanyeAsada [#4]idk, optic looked decently ahead of loud. loud is a great team, but regardless of the fact that all 3 maps were close its still concerning they had 2 map bans and the first and third map picks and still got 3-0.
in the upper finals loud beat optic
iMyw_ [#6]Ok but then it’s 4-2 mapwise + imo if you beat them after you lost to them then you’re better
makes sense
Ibis [#10]FNATIC without subs is better than liquid g2, gambit as well I’d say
that fnatic was easily better than all these teams
but sadly they benched magnum and braveaf so we dont know anymore
inlucid [#15]optic better than loud
beat them when it most mattered
Biggest issue with Loud is the map pool. If they fix that they will be at least a top 4 contender at champions

Honestly, Optic was superior today, but most maps looked like a toss up between the teams...
Tosspoa [#17]Honestly, Optic was superior today, but most maps looked like a toss up between the teams...
the maps were toss ups for sure. we didn't even get to see neon victor once tho...
kristof [#9]FPX and Gambit are 100% better than Optic
They didn’t even qual, besides, every EMEA team was railed this year

Edit: Reasonings
M3c are still the best in the world. You can hear from the players that scrim them and you can feel it from their last games. Literally the biggest fluke in the history of val that they didn't make it and players from other teams say it is too. They literally had half their team switch roles while looking the most burnt out they've ever been and they still looked like the best team in the world most of the time.
Only putting fpx and optic 2/3 because fpx is fpx they would still be heavy favorites for the tourney if it happened rn and optic just look hot and improved since the start of the tourney where I would have put them below fpx before but I don't know how improved maybe fpx have gotten since last we saw them so hard to compare.
Old fnatic would have been a favorite for this tourney too, they showed so much before coming to Iceland but just unfortunate circumstances. You could say they were third seed but holy fuck those seeding match games were the most useless matches I've ever seen. Really think fnatic would have been the team to win if not for the circumstances.
Pairing it up with online guard because I didn't want them to fully replace a team in the list just wanted to compare. Like did you see that run? They literally have the best fundamentals in the world when they are on. I'm guessing they underperformed compared to what they were showing in scrims but just have to shake it off and go next I guess.
Drx at times can be maybe even at the top of this list like right up there but also can look like they're playing ranked and inting mid lane every 5 seconds type of feel. Consistency and a playbook. You go from saying wow this seems like the best team in the tournament to thinking the fuck are they doing are they throwing? Yes, they are. They really seem to lose confidence for some reason when they're literally so cracked n jacked. I guess tho this is a good sign for them. They can compete with the best and they basically recently created a new foundation and igl direction to grow from so excited to see how they figure out consistency and just add to their repertoire. Just genuinely worried if they would have to make a roster move if this keeps happening. They've just shown such greats highs that I'm willing to just put them bang straight into the middle of the list.
Loud. They are great but that's not enough. They are great and even better when they are confident. That's it tho just seems like a team that's going to end up being a gatekeeper S tier team unless some major change and improvement happens where they become so special that they're just not 5 great players with decent ideas and become a championship team. The players are young and hopefully, develop well and they don't become like smb where the team starts imploding and sucking just because they lose confidence. Just not giving them the high yet because I feel like from my perspective that didn't seem like enough what they showed, meaning in the future I feel like they could show more and could do better. If they are consistently a podium finishers then I would be convinced and impressed that they were able to consistently improve. But in the end of the day it just feels like they're just the team out of the international a or low s tier teams that ended up in the higher place finish this time around. Feels just like the level of a champion's liquid where they won't win the championship but gets to playoffs and sometimes has a podium finish. Until they take a further step they are stuck in that cycle so many teams are currently in or were in. Genuinely think optics and louds destiny of being 2nd-6th was cut off by 3 better teams not attending.
zeta and prx are just there for placements
zeta actually seemed decent. Their gameplans and plays in general seemed to keep getting better. Dk what happened but I guess they just ended up crumbling in the end. They've shown they can improve and learn from mistakes just dk how high the ceiling is yet with those 5 cracked players.
Prx. Feels like a decent team that can make decent runs. Just feels like a team that going to be stuck in the playoffs cycle where they won't be championship level until they take a further step. Was thinking maybe they were close to their ceiling but I feel like were never gonna get to know now that jinggg has to leave.
Guard this event. Good team. They genuinely didn't even play badly the other teams were just better.
Liquid. Same thing as prx and loud just a playoff team for now. Better than anyone expected them to be but they got to figure something and I don't think anyone knows the answer or even what they're trying to fix with it. Nivera is goated. Him and Jamppi can become liquid most important 2 players to success in their coming years.
C9. cuz literally who else is there. Only putting them here to point out g2 is not even close to this top 10
Strafe7 [#16]Biggest issue with Loud is the map pool. If they fix that they will be at least a top 4 contender at champions
yeah no shit lol of course if they fix their map pool they're gonna win. That's literally true for every team in the world however.

Also I dont really care about this stupid valorant esque tendency of putting teams that made it to LAN only in rankings, that logic is flawed af, if I had to make a ranking based on recent tournaments and not counting performances in a specific tournament but rather consistency in several tournaments + a bit of what I think after watching them play it would be:

Disagree with Guard, they had one good tourney , still need to prove in upcoming Challengers, atm, C9 still better team , and so Optic. DRX aren't bad team/dog team, they are just better than mediocre teams, but worse than top teams (but still will make top teams some struggles) . Agree with other points

Buddy puts the 3 EU teams that weren't there 1st, 2nd, 3rd, the EU cope is real. Gambit, Acend were full strength and couldn't get out of your own region. FPX is the only unknown which it isn't worth copeing over cause they prolly wouldn't adapt to new things like G2. Optic shit on all of them, you guys are lucky that G2 didn't beat loud. Cause big daddy was waiting.
If C9 were here it would have been an all NA final, every region put down like a dog...
-FPX should be top 1/2 but with this shitty situations we only watched a few games with the complete roster, I know that they were beasts anyways but it's difficult to judge them like that
-Liquid are top 1 until they start trolling with comps and macro strats
-yep, PRX top 5. imo, they play valorant like they should do, agressive playstyle on defense and a good way to do map contact on the attacking side. They sadly lost against DRX and ZETA, but they showed sth never seen before that is SO effective.
-Despite fuckin it up on Masters, The Guard played an insane NA stage. If they play like they know, they will surely have another chance.
-Zeta would be top 11. Since the only thing I saw from 'em was the Masters run, I can't tell if they play as good as that so constantly.
-KRÜ would be top 11/12 like Zeta, they had a pretty good LATAM stage (and, obviously, the Champions run), but Masters performance was dissapointing. I've seen them playing as they know, but they need to show it to the world again to come back to the top 10.
idkbro [#30]honeslty guard is just so impressive fundamentally, optic on the other hand play coinflip mania
Optic are more fundamentally sound, no? More maps, better defaults and have shown to be able to antistrat. They also beat them recently. I agree w/ you that Gambit/M3C are good, but come on they aren't better than FPX lol. Would also disagree w/ Acend placement. Their roster is literally incomplete as of now.
1a. Optic they showed up on LAN, beat everyone before them
1b. FPX strongest team from the strongest region, I don't think you can claim with 100% certainty that FPX would win over Optic

would rate PRX, Gambit, and TL lower tbh.
PRX are super aggro, but they kept losing to "lesser" teams like DRX and Zeta because those teams had strong defaults and were really patient. They can probably skill check most teams in the world, but Optic, Loud, FPX, DRX, Zeta, and G2 would probably beat them in a double elimination tournament. You could probably also throw in Fnatic and Gambit in that mix too. TL would probably lose to PRX because they are also a skill check team, but in that case you have Jingg & Forsaken vs Scream & friends.

I have never seen such a brain dead ranker and a brain dead rank
1, Optic (They just won the event and made it look EZ)
2, Loud (They were close)
3, Zeta (Japan valorant has a bunch of young talents)
4, FPX (rip)
5, Paper Rex (because of their playstyle, its a flip of a coin on EZ win or HARD loss)
6, G2 (too bad they "can't adapt to the LAN environment")
7, DRX (Korean valorant will be crazy)
8, The Guard (they will be better with more experience)
9, Fnatic (It's heartbreaking to see a team unable to play with the rooster they qualified with)
10, Liquid (Scream and Nivera goes burrrrr)
As of right now, I think
Optic (I mean obviously they just won masters)
FPX (Destroyed everyone at EMEA, prolly finalists if they could've gone)
Gambit/M3C (Had a rough playoff, shitty match schedule, have some of the best players in the world, best igl in the world (in terms of in-game calling, best igl in terms of strategy is FNS) If they figure out comps properly, they could be unstoppable)
Loud (second at masters insane talent but need to prove themselves further against stronger international opponents)
DRX (insane mechanics and strats, very bad mental game, if they can fix their mental they can become insanely hard to stop)
Paper Rex (Top four masters and brought some really interesting ideas compositionally, all have extraordinary aim (In my opinion f0rsaken is the best duelist in the world)
Zeta Division (Insane run at masters, all have great aim and absolutely astonishing resilience and grit, not higher because miracle runs do happen and I hope we see this same zeta at masters 2)
The Guard (Young players with insane talent, truly think if they become more resilient and work on their issues they can be top three or even a trophy lifting team)
G2 (shown good sides and bad sides, their good side looks fucking cracked, their bad side looks slightly lost, if they can stop the bad side from showing, top 5 for sure)
FNATIC (Sometimes they are cracked, sometimes FPX 13-0, has great potential but lackluster individual performances hurt the team, derke may be cracked out of his mind but it's a team game. And they are having some very wacky times with roster changes)
Team Liquid (The skill is there but the team makes weird mid-game decisions and get outclassed by more disciplined teams, work out issues, they can become demons)
Just my opinion, obviously not an analyst but let me know what you think :D

I dont agree, Gambit is better than FPX to me, if it wasnt because they had to play 5-6 matches in a week Gambit would have easily qualified, even if g2 beat them easily I dont think they were at their best, devastated from Fnatic match + they wouldnt be able to go either way so not very motivating

They have reached a finals and have won another, tying Gambit as the team to have had the most success in international competitions. I just don't see how you can call these guys inconsistent after they have consistently been one of the best teams in the world for the last 8 months.

They were good in Masters 3, fair but the competition was not as fierce either, they got put in an easy group + Only played NA teams in playoffs and they were clearly better than 100T and Sentinels, Champions they looked really bad but Victor had covid so understandable but to me even if they won this masters, when I watch their VODS I just dont think they can be the best team itw, FNS is not good enough individually for the long term compared to top EU IGLs + you cant argue that their playstyle isnt literally taking solo fights and hope they win them, literally the definition of NA in tactical fps, there werent really strong teams this masters and they steped up individually this later stage of the tournament and it worked for them, just cant see it happening consistently or against fpx/gambit/fnatic/acend, those guys would punish the shit out of you if you play like that
tonyhart7 [#49]this tier list only works in onliner
you are not wrong but at the end of the day when those teams who are "better" get used to playing on LAN and experience is not a factor anymore then it will change, same happens with Gambit csgo, insane team but cant play at all in arena because they are unexperienced af compared to other t1 teams who have been doing it for years in packed arenas, even if they are "better" they still lose
idkbro [#55]G2 LOL
they trolled de LAN but were the best team at EMEA playoffs (behind FPX, but I've already explained why are they 4th)
trembolonaRage [#38]Love how delusional brazilians are
1) FPX
2) Gambit
3) Optic
wow! at least im not a delusional brazilian!
Ross [#20]They didn’t even qual, besides, every EMEA team was railed this year
To be fair, Fpx did qualify and also pretty handedly ran over the rest of EMEA
idkbro [#57]you are not wrong but at the end of the day when those teams who are "better" get used to playing on LAN and experience is not a factor anymore then it will change, same happens with Gambit csgo, insane team but cant play at all in arena because they are unexperienced af compared to other t1 teams who have been doing it for years in packed arenas, even if they are "better" they still lose
so they are not 'BETTER' experience on LAN give you advantage
insertyourname [#50]M3C is too overhyped
they lost in EMEA
4/5 of them are good still, but D3ffo.
They lost by 0.04 seconds in EMEA, and they had to play 3 matches in a row.
_RAT_ [#34]Buddy puts the 3 EU teams that weren't there 1st, 2nd, 3rd, the EU cope is real.
If C9 were here it would have been an all NA final, every region put down like a dog...
cope
zzzzzzzzz [#66]yeah but i mean like in the present or next master
they still have the same teams bro

Writes EU cope then goes on about C9 getting to finals 💀
Zephyros [#68]they still have the same teams bro
and teams get better and worse. i mean the meta changes and optic has a new coach and run a lot of different strats. I didnt see optic running double fakes in berlin or running pace changes? gambit might’ve won before but the game is different and optic is also different so it still goes both ways.
_RAT_ [#32]less went 33/13 on icebox, loud had no business winning that lmao. Buddy comes back to reality today and gets dogged 3-0. Take your biased ass out of here, there isn't 2 number 1 teams.
FPX cocksuckers are EU's only excuse, it's old man let it go, yall lost.
My guy. 2 maps went to OT after almost insane comebacks from LOUD. how did they get “dogged.” Also coming from the winners didn’t benefit LOUD at all. You gave FNS time to prepare for you after an official match it was a wrap then and there.
