I think the majors are the masters and Champions are more like an Invitational. Because the champions get the best scores in the year.

it kinda was last year since there was only one major in cs, this year we got 2 majors and 2 masters so champions is kinda bigger than a cs major

A better comparison would be the blast circuit ending with the blast world finals so imo only the champions should count as a major
