How does the VCT EMEA Promotion work?

FOKUS just won vs BIG, does this mean they will get a free slot in the Challengers bracket, but will have to as everyone else fight they're way to playoffs for Masters?
Or do they have to do the whole bracket run to make it into Challengers? I'm confused lol.

Edit: I think I got it right, they dodge open qualifiers by winning EMEA Promotion, so they are secured a slot in next challengers by winning that. They have to make groups, then playoffs and they are going to Masters 2.

no so now that Fokus wins EMEA relegation, they’re already put into EMEA Stage 2 where presumably they’ll remake the groups (unconfirmed)

should then be the same round robin style format to seed for masters 2, then playoffs just like last stage

I may be wrong, but I believe they’re already in the group stage with the likes of Acend, BBL, Navi. In my opinion the european system (if it is how I think it is) is extremely oppressive to the lower teams like giants, case, etc who cant qualify to the next events, and even a team like rebels, who already did an impressive run, could still miss out

For Eeea I think this system is better for those t2-3 teams, at least with this system, they can compete with domestic teams, contrary to the open qualifier where if a team does not qualify they will have to wait a long time to play again.
