doubt it'll work. one tricking chamber on all maps isn't that great.
ethanos [#2]better then having asuna on OP though
No hate to him but his rifle 10x more impactful
I agree with this. Wardell won't be one tricking Chamber since he can be put on Jett on some maps and have Asuna flex. Asuna's rifle is just too impactful to put him as the OP.
He can realistically play chamber on all maps and play jett on ascent if they need to. could also just put him on sage however like he used to do with tsm before. He could play a similar role to Mixwell in G2. They could be fucked if Chamber ever gets nerfed to oblivion because he's not that good as an aggressive jett
Let me reiterate. If WARDELL and Derrek are brought and Hiko is dropped, the roster would look like
Wardell
Derrek
Ethan
Asuna
Bang
Situation 1
Asuna is main entry and Wardell is sentinel (he only plays chamber)
Wardell only playing chamber is a detriment to them since on certain maps, it's better to have a kj/cypher
Situation 2
Wardell plays Jett/Chamber and Asuna plays flex.
Asuna's flex on kayo or skye is yet to be proven and bang on astra hasn't shown to be good.

Realistically, the only map where KJ is favored over chamber is Ascent, and even on that map its not that big of a deal. On the 6 other maps I'd argue chamber is the best sentinel. Keep in mind wardell also plays sage which teams have been running on ascent, or he could play jett, or they could just run chamber. And if chamber ends up out of meta I guess Wardell would move to jett/sage, and asuna would be the flex. Who knows though

ethan might go on smokes
The team wanted him on Chamber on all maps, that’s it. Every other awper/top player plays both Jett and Chamber, and Wardell should be doing it on his new team. Keep in mind, TSM reached their peak when Wardell played Jett and could freelance with the awp. It’s not traditional, but it can work. Plus his rifling has improved to an almost mediocre level lmaooooo.
unless Chamber gets nerfed, having him as your sentinel on every map is not only viable, but honestly quite strong.
fracture: chamber has a near 100% pick rate
bind: teams either run no sentinel or run a chamber
breeze: cypher and chamber have similar pick rates, obviously chamber would be preferred if your sentinel player is a strong OPer
split: chamber is the most played sentinel by far
icebox: chamber is the most played sentinel by far
on haven, all 3 sentinels are viable, with the most played being killjoy > chamber > cypher, but again, if your sentinel player is a strong OPer there's no reason not to have him play chamber. also, chamber's pick rate on haven has gone up to be about the same as killjoy's since the new controller changes
ascent is the only map where chamber doesn't really get played, since killjoy is considered almost a must pick on there. however, 100T could simply make ascent their permaban map if they want to avoid playing KJ, and the issue would be solved.
if they decide to not permaban ascent they have 3 options:

Wardell dropped 30 in regulation on Ascent against 100T while playing Chamber, which is something nobody could do in Group Stage. Sure, that iteration of 100T wasn’t Tier 1, but nobody in the Tier 1 group stage could do what Wardell did (closest was Saya with 26K, but Wardell did that on Icebox in the same series). Point is, Wardell can make Chamber work very effectively on Ascent. I’d still like him to play Jett sometimes, though.
