12 teams group stage, how does that work?
"Additionally, the top seeds from North America, EMEA, APAC, and the top seed from the winner of the LATAM and Brazil playoff will get seeded deeper in the bracket, while the remaining teams will need to battle from earlier rounds of competition."

Tokyo777 [#2]4 x 3 ??
isn't that impossible because you need 8 teams in playoffs? how will you get 8 teams from 3 groups?
Probably not 3 groups. How should this work? If 2 get through in every group you would have 6 teams for the semis. Obv. this doesn´t work. Neither does giving the first in the group a free spot for the semis since we would have 3 teams then. It is either going to be a 2 group round of robin format where the first of the group gets a free ticket to the semis, or a 2 loss elimination format like what we had last iceland. Hope it is going to be the later one cuz round of robin sucks ass.

4 groups of 3
top 2 qual
hrwoahrwoahro [#4]maybe round-robin, but 4x3 sounds more likely
How are you going to set up the playoffs then? A 3 group format doesn´t work. It will either double elimination for the entire tournement or ror. Lets just hope it is the first one.

wdym 3 groups, each group contains 4 teams. best 2 go to playoffs.
EDIT: nvm ure right
My prediction to the format is that will be DE group (2 groups of 6 teams) into DE bracket(6 teams), since 4 teams won't play round 1 (see #4 above) I believe that groups will be similar to EMEA playoffs bracket (https://www.vlr.gg/event/854/champions-tour-stage-1-emea-challengers) and the best 3 teams of each group advance to DE bracket with the same format.
