much lower skilled agents compared to astra so transition is not difficult.+ i would not call it "preferring", They occasionally played omen on split and brim on bind/fracture

i meant that even EMEA has a MAJORITY astra pickrate on these maps(other than frac) and Omen and Brim are just a niche(until this patch ofc), which reasonated more with EMEA teams due to factors such as playstyle/comp flexibility etc.... Some NA teams play omen and brim too

They need to fix Brim's smokes' animation because it's very aggressive and I get jumpscared everytime

EMEA teams were pretty much the slowest people to move to astra, it hurt them in Iceland a lot because back then Astra was way too OP.

That is true, but tbh I don't know how they are going to change the roles on some maps. For example starxo's Astra is good on Ascent, but I don't think he would play Omen or Brimstone there if those became meta. And BONECOLD plays Sova currently and starxo doesn't. Zeek was insane Sova on that map, but his Kay/O has been really good as well. Interesting to see.

I also wonder will they start playing Haven again if Omen or Brimstone becomes meta there. Feels like the fact that they didn't really have Astra player there really screw them over.

Strange take. EU teams might have been slow to adopt Astra, but they mastered her eventually and now that slow, tactical style is actually very well suited to most of them. It's why they were a step ahead of Champions, IMO. I think it will actually favor NA a lot to have Omen and Brim in the meta as they play a lot quicker.

Honestly I think this new meta buffs NA and BR more than EMEA, since they can now turn their brains off with fast exacts and run the double duelist comps they were running before
