Thoughts?
Not even trying to disrespect hiko. Just havent been in touch with competitive play for the last few months + ive seen „-hiko +BabyJ“ in Twitch Chat a couple of times.
Abdul [#4]that would never happen if they had the same fan base (hiko) and (babyj) then i think it wouldn't even be a question and would be completed instantaneously happened but sadly that isn't the case
not every team manager cares about fan base like tsm lol
uyheehe [#2]they would lose the invite. only 2 players would remain from the roster that got them the spot in closed quali
we dont know how it works when the team is already in the tournament

They could still just bench Hiko but keep him on the team and have BabyJ playing instead of him

you are delusional if you think would be on the team if not for his fame/fanbase
you fool
Hunting [#3]We are literally 1-0 up on the series winning 4-0 in this map, why would you want to replace Hiko?
TSM ACADEMY > THE GUARD BATCHEST

Moving Hiko to content creation and off the Valorant team is an option, you know.
They can keep him employed and not one of the starting 5.

the guy is obviously good enough to compete

I personally think there are a lot more variables to it than "Hiko has a large fan base, and is minimally competent at the game".
Are there better options? Of course. There are better options than each player, depending on what your criteria is. Hiko brings intangibles that are valuable to the rest of the team and management, that's all there is to it. What those intangibles are is not for us to know. We can discuss them from the outside all day long, but it makes no difference. But when a time comes that those reasons are no longer valid, a change will be made.
