So I have been messing around with Valorant for a while. I was really into it, then out of it. Eventually I am now in a spot where I am just playing unrated for the vibes you know? Then I had a thought that has been circling my mind for a pretty long time actually. At first I was going to make this agent as a controller but you know, sentinal feels much better.
Codename: Venta
Role: Sentinel
Nationality: Not sure yet - mabye Singapore
Signature Ability: Parallax
EQUIP a distortion anchor. FIRE to place it on a valid surface. Once it is active, it creates a thin visual veil across a lane or opening.
It is not a smoke. You can still see through it. The problem is that what you see is a little wrong. Enemies looking through it might see slight silhouette offsets, warped sightlines, and faint motion trails. The anchor has 125 HP and lasts until destroyed or the round ends. Think of Deadlock wall but hard to see through. They can still move through it, and what not.
Ability 1: Afterimage
EQUIP an imprint device. FIRE on a valid interactable or targetable object to mark it. After a short delay, that object makes a fake interaction sound once.
So like a fake defuse tap, fake spike drop, fake rope sound, fake switch use, or a fake sound from a dropped gun.
It does not create fake agents, fake reveals, fake abilities, or fake movement. It only makes a real object sound like it was touched or disturbed. That is the whole point.
Ability 2: Claim
EQUIP a seal projector. FIRE to place it on the ground. After a short arm time, it creates a small claimed area for a few seconds.
If an enemy walks through the area, they are slowed. Not as hard as Waylay’s slow, maybe around half as strong. It is mainly there to make pushing or clearing through that space feel worse without completely stopping them.
Ultimate: False Room
EQUIP a distortion core. FIRE to place it and create a site-sized field after a short windup.
For around 6–8 seconds, interactable objects inside the field can create false sound cues. So the room becomes harder to trust for a short time. Doesn't effect the team or Venta.
I wanted to make a Sentinel that is not just another trap or damage setup agent. I like trying to trick plays or confusing the enemy and this type of agent would fit me, and many others pretty well imo.
