before VCT, old players of BBL said that they are not used to having an IGL that directs them and talks to them all the time so it is hard for them to get used to it for the time being etc, plus many of them are playing in new roles

The old SMB would have been much more successful if it weren't for the ego war. They could have gone to Champions and had success. I don't think the new SMB will be successful even in EMEA.
