I was a little confused as well because doesn't G2 only have 2 players from their core team last year? wouldn't that mean that they void their VCT points from last year? If not then why wasn't Guild invited?

I dont think it doesnt related with that. In Cıs they are all in upper brackets and in Turkey just one is in lower .And that one got the invite cuz other teams are disbanded or lost 3 player from last years squad

maybe but I dont think so , probably uninvinted teams become better cuz they played more official matches and tried more different tactics and maybe comps

EU is a much deeper region than CIS and Turkey. In EU there are at least 15 teams that can all compete for the top spot, while in EU and Turkey you only have around 4-5 top teams
