NA qualifiers last 4-5 days?

Are they just planning to select the "best" 12 teams for
really long and exciting round robin event, from a fucking open qualifier?

Couldn't they think of a better format like Riot EMEA are doing right now? 4 directly (in their case, 3 Champs teams + 100T by circuit points), 4 from week 1, 4 from week 2?

I mean they still have 20 days of January to try and make it somewhat fair and not 100% random... My god what are they thinking...

I mean the open qualifier is OK but some teams should be getting invited for what they gained in 2020

I think they are invited teams, it just the vct NA that didnt release full information yet about the qualifier and main event other than using the round robin system.
