challengers look the same as 2021, and JP has 1 slot for Masters

That's unfortunate but does make sense. They are prolly giving another spot to sea since that region is huge though i feel like they should focus towarsd increasing the teams in masters than reducing regional slots.

most probably apac because i think sea, sa and oce now qualify through apac playoffs for masters.

maybe they took 1 slot from JP
and they are thinkin of starting an APAC division for masters where only SA OCE and prolly CN plays.
Winner of this APAC division gets 1 slot to masters
That way SEA wud still hold 2 slot for masters without getting interference of "adding SA or CN " to it.
Furthermore this APAC division wud only consist of SA CN and OCE so the pings of all these regions wud be around the same if not worse (i.e ofc they play on SGP server at about 50-100 ping)

Its all speculation from my side.
