I watched the whole video so I'll make a quick TLDR from the top of my head:
-Riot announced yesterday to the org KOI that they were going to be kicked from franchising and that the offcial announcement was going to be made today
-Riot said that they [KOI] couldn't do anything about it and that the decision was already taken and wasn't gonna change
-The explanations given by Riot are the followings :
-Koi's results in the league are horrible and have been horrible for 3 years in a row
-Koi's vct related communication and content creation is basically dead and has been quiet for way too long
-Koi is the worst org in the league in terms of VCT capsule bundle sales
-Ibai immediatly reacts by recognizing that the org's results have been terrible and that he is sorry for that and that it pains him too, he admits everything that riot uses a a justification to kick them
-He also reacts and explains that he isn't very happy about the way Riot handled things; announcing it to them one day before the public statement without leaving any time to organize, know what they are gonna do of the people they have under contract ect...
-In his opinion one of the big reasons KOI got kicked is that M8s look like a great investment for Riot so they "scapegoated" KOI (only to some extent cuz they were genuinely shit as he admits it)
-He insists on the fact that they had no idea they were gonna get kicked before yesterday, riot never sent any notice weeks or months before
-He says that he is pretty gutted that this is the year Koi gets kicked from VCT cuz they were genuinely going to build THE roster that THEY wanted to build this year and weren't going to be embarrased by pre-existing contracts and such things
-Ibai finishes the video by repeating that they [as an org] need to reflect on everything they did wrong in VCT and that they are genuinely sorry to end up in such situation
My opinion on the video (no one is interested by that pbb but idc);
I honestly think Ibai is being very rational and mature in this video, I know orgs who wouldn't have taken this kind of news this well and with such calm and respecful reaction. He is genuinely sorry but also really angry at riot for how they handled things in terms of timings and all that, but anyone in his position would be and realistically the way Riot organized this is indeed pretty disgusting. I was kinda excited for their team next year cuz they actually could have done some very cool stuff but they won't have the opportunity to unfortunately.
This video is honestly the best way they could have reacted to the news imo, there isn't much to comment about it but a lot to learn from it. Goodbye KOI, welcome M8s
