How does tiebreaker work is it maps/rounds first then h2h or the other way around?

What if Team A beats Team B who beats Team C who beats Team A (rock paper scissors)

Tiebreaker rules:
--------------------------

  1. Head-to-head Match Score
  2. Head-to-head Map Differential
  3. Head-to-head Round Differential
  4. Map Differential
  5. Round Differential

The following "Subgroup Tie-breaker Rule" will be applied for 3+ Team tie-breakers:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  • If any Team(s) can be clearly ranked highest based on the given criterion (e.g., head-to-head match score), all teams will be split into two subgroups: the top Team(s) and the remaining Team(s). The remaining Teams are treated as one group, even if they are no longer tied under that criterion.

  • A new tiebreaker is then applied from the beginning, based on the number of Teams in each subgroup.
Example: In a 4-way tie, if two Teams can be clearly ranked highest using the given criterion, the four Teams will be split into two 2-Team subgroups. Each subgroup will then follow the 2-way tiebreaker process, starting from (1) Head-to-head Match Score.

  • The next tie-breaker criterion (e.g., (2), (3), etc.) is used only when no subgrouping can be made based on the current step.

  • This process is repeated until all Teams are fully ranked

if GENG lost to both RRQ and NS (all of them are 3-2) then would they be the 4th seed despite having a better map differential and round differential?

Since the h2h applies, then yeah i think so

Did they ever publish a rulebook or document that formalized this? Or did they just cover it on a broadcast segment/elsewhere
