Is this game just retirement home for CS players? I like the game but stewie has been relatively mediocre at cs for a while now and I feel he will just be able to get signed cause he’s popular. :( same with hiko. He will never get dropped cuz of his brand.

This is how it will be for the first 5 years or so. But eventually Valorant purebreds will start coming up are mechanically far more superior compared to the washed up cs players. You can even compare to the game that was being played during First Strike and the game now , back then people played CS in Valorant , there was barely any intelligent utility usage and everyone just rushed onto sites and be done with it. But day by day the game is getting more complex and the skill ceiling is geting higher. Eventually the Valorant purebreds will replace the people who shifted from different games.

bro overtime young talent will take over, ya right now some players do come to valiant which is cool you have 2nd game you can try working hard in and succeed but that doesn't mean everyone from cs will succeed example ska auti and more.

I am sorry but you expect way too much from orgs. At the end of the day, they are trying to make money. Idk about stewie, but I know that for hiko, one of the reason he is still able be on good orgs is because of his impact in game and out of game. The dude brings sooo much experience and he does wins important rounds. I am pretty sure, it was hiko that was keeping things calm in Berlin. In a nutshell, he is a really good teammate. Don’t take my word for it, even simple said that hiko was one of the best teammates he ever had. And as some other people mentioned, it will only be for now that can pros will be majority. In the future there will be some insane players coming in.

Sean Gares talked about this in an interview with Richard Lewis recently. These CS players obviously have the advantage right now as they’ve competed at the highest level and grasp Tac FPS concepts that these young more mechanically cracked players don’t.

I wouldn’t event say Stewie counts as one of the old washed up CS players, he can still compete in T1 CS, even if he’s not having the absolute BEST stats he’s not dead weight by any means.

Stewie isn’t “mediocre” at CS but someone like Hiko is the definition of washed. I like hiko but they could do better without him. If 100T are looking to rebuild. Build around Ethan and Asuna. You’re not wrong as majority of the pros in Valorant are either washed or failed CS players who got originally signed due to their former status in CS, some players just never got the chance but yeah. Maybe it will change. That’s why I like teams like Gambit because all of them are 1. Young and 2. Kids who weren’t big namers in CS or got a real chance.

Well there are a few things that go into it. I don’t think autimatic and skadoodle failed. They two were the best on their teams but there were no real team success. I also think some players generally don’t care about Valorant and are only playing it for the $$$. I could be wrong but knowing NA. It’s just the mindsets we on NA have. It’s why Europe has always been better in other games because different mentalities. Kids in NA will hate a game but play it solely for the money and put minimal effort in. Can be said in just about anything in life and other sports.
