check the level of sodium and chlorine in your water to know if its hard water or soft water it is hard water then use drinking water to clean your head.

Just wait for it. There is this thing called awkward stage where your hair is not short but also not long enough, you have to go through that too.

i grow my hair for one year (shoulder length, could tie my hair ponytail). some of my tips are :

1. dont listen to other people. a lot of people will say stuff like "cut ur hair, u look ugly, etc). rather than just ignore them, learn to ignore them. ur feeling will hurt a lot by them but u will get through trust me.
2. at 3-4 months growing ur hair, u will get awkward phase. this last probably 6 months. ur hair will look ugly af. u will demotivate a lot. watch a lot of youtube video timelapse hairgrowth as ur motivation. rather than deny it looks ugly af, just accept it and remember ur goals.
3. it is absolutely worth it. 10 months and ur hair will get out of awkward phase and long enough. trust me
4. dont look urself with mirror in close range, look it at long range like 3-5 m. i always want to cut my hair in close range cause i though its ugly af. in my 8 months growing, i accompany my friend to cut his hair and look my hair in the mirror. it looks fine tbh. even with short hair, i though it looks weird but when i look at it at longer range it looks fine.
5. u will break stereotype. if girls playing fps game are weird, or they deserve kitchen, for men its growing ur hair and wearing pink clothes. just follow number 1 advice

short hair boring, only one style. with long hair u could have multiple hair style depend on ur mood. could tie it up, ponytail, bun, half tie, let it loose, etc. i regret a lot cutting my hair tbh.

another tip: use conditioner ever day. I think there are also products that make your hair grow faster.
