does anyone know if he will be back for champs? ik he's not playing in regionals but it would be such a shame if he couldn't play in champs

No idea but we are hoping.

Subbing in Babybay pretty much confirms to me that he'll only be out for the start of the stage or the entire stage then back for Champs. If they seriously thought it was a season ending illness they would have invested resources into a better sub.
