Try to be social. Go to social gatherings. Maybe some "clubs" or smth that meet regularly. Making connections is really big both socially and for job networking.

Im finishing college rn. I know its prob not the same since different countries and stuff but i think the universal college rule is to just have 0 shame. talk to everyone make your presence known do a lot of stuff you like and a lot you dislike too. go to parties and scientific conferences. say yes to mostly everything. get to know what you want and what you dont want, even if you doubt yourself. if you are shy unironically just try your best to overcome that. my biggest regret on college is not trying enough and doing as much i could
