We didn't break apart after independence we were given independence after british broke us apart by inciting intra religious conflicts.

More or less the case is that the British came fucked us over, created a divide and now we have 3 different countries that came out of that. I'm not saying there wasn't any animosity based off religion before the Brits came however they really aggravated that to the max. Jinnah thought it was unsafe for muslims in a Hindu majority region and Nehru wanted a secular country. Jinnah also wanted a secular country but somewhere the message was lost but that's whatever nobody cares.
Tldr Brits fucked us over added gasoline to the fire and a metric fuck ton of gasoline and then boom seperation.
Btw there's a lot of bad blood usually so it's better to not talk about it cuz by the looks of it India Pak is never going to be solved at this rate sorry for bringing up politics I'll take my suspension bye bye
