I swear I've never seen a player have such insane impact without showing it on the stats. His util and positioning on Yoru allows for so much chaos and distraction for his team to pick up the kill if he falls. (Which he did end up dying a lot because VIT's individuals are absolutely insane)

Yup, peoples opinion on G2 with jawgemo is the best litmus test for whether someone knows val at all. I see tons of people saying either jaw is mid or that he doesn’t mesh well with g2 when both are just wrong. Also people who complain about g2 being slow and boring either haven’t watched any G2 this year or are letting last year cloud their opinions of this years team.

just because his stats are mid doesn't mean he's not had crazy impact on these games. he doesn't need to carry with kills like derke, he works into G2 perfectly as a space-taker, finds so many first engagements, and can really perform and close out matches when needed

come on dawg, he's been whiffing like crazy and can't even get a singular ult kill if his life depends on it, I can see what you are saying but if this guy actually starts aiming and playing like he used to he can do so much more, I've literally watched 90% of the games he has played in and he has the least impact out of everyone and is he simply just getting outperformed by everyone on his team, you can say his fuck ups are good for the team cause they are winning but you can't justify the way he has been playing until it backfires

aight you do have a good point on that, his kill numbers aren't even what they were on EG last year, but i think jawg's skill has always been more in line with movement duelists (jett, raze, neon), but yoru is the heavy meta at the moment so it kinda puts duelists like him behind (kangkang the exception because he's just insane)

I understand what you're saying too cause his FK and FD are totally backing up what you're stating as when you watch him play, he isn't afraid to go in and run it down for his team to create space and overview on positional aspects, but when it comes to kangkang he is actually buns on the yoru as he even admitted it himself and only plays him cause it is meta and so they don't fall behind, as we all know jawgemo is actually a rly decent yoru but I wouldn't be surprised if this guy is so bored out of his mind playing the same agent over and over again opposed to kangkang who has been playing more diversed agents throughout the games, I feel like this isn't rly the playstyle that is meant for jawgemo as he used to be a 2nd entry and is probably more comfortable on just getting the picks prior to entering the site

Definitely, he's an entry guy first and foremost, so his raze is actually absurd. but yeah kangkang went insane on jett today while jawg's last 20 games have been 16 yoru and 4 raze. expanding the agent pool isn't bad, but i'll never forget that jett knife ace on ascent against nrg last year

for all I care he starts playing iso/phoenix to actually shaken up the game a bit cause this constant yoru spam is so boring, I understand it wins them games but the viewership is totally dropping over this boring gameplay we're experiencing firsthand and I genuinely believe he's so bored off it too. I lowkey hate that certain agents define a meta for in the game, I wanna see a reyna pick or even a neon pick again like last years champs, but yea kangkang is insane and I wouldn't be surprised if G2 will still somehow manage to win cause no matter what the team is insane, leaf is also up there with the first engages and they're playing really well together as are EDG so it's definitely gonna be the most exciting game to watch, someone who disappointed me in todays game was jonahP though so I hope he's back at it tomorrow
