I have a WAY higher score than my friend despite his parents having 6x my parent's net income. ts makes no sense

Wdym score like the grants and loans? if so doesnt make sense but fafsa only asks for net worth not salary.

I was in the military for 20 days before I got kicked for medical reasons and for some reason I qual as a veteran and get like full SAI. Criteria is "served 1 or more day active duty (including boot camp)"

I have classmates with 1/4 my familial income getting buttfucked by student loans, but I get in free because I stood in a line and signed paperwork for 3 weeks
