ig the reason they r struggling is because they have played on LAN for pretty much most of their VCT season so they havent adjusted to high ping
but i could be wrong as well
AkamiRosario [#3]dude global also played on 7 ping on mumbai server their whole career then playing at 75 ping against 35 ping and still winning prooves that kr is just not on top form right now
They are not ready to have this conversation.
AkamiRosario [#3]dude global also played on 7 ping on mumbai server their whole career then playing at 75 ping against 35 ping and still winning prooves that kr is just not on top form right now
yeah that could be true as well
Paracosm [#5]bruh this is japan vs korea they are probably playing on 10 ping wdym
but still online would be different from LAN rit
MilanTheMyth [#9]I think they playing on the same server. Japan and Korea right next to each other
they play hk sever .both 45ping
ritdro2211 [#11]but still online would be different from LAN rit
lan isnt exactly lan either, they set up a temporary server for the match so the ping is around 10 anyways
StockfishZ [#4]they try to play like gambit lol even their comp and playstyle is the same, their coordination is just not as good as gambit
I mean there is no reason to try and play like the best team in the game currently right?
Nah the other regions are starting to get better and catching up. Teams are more polish than they were months ago. I remember that Korean teams used to dominate most of asia like 8 months ago but for a game like valorant that's so new, it's not surprising to see how fast the other regions improving. Seeing Korean teams being so top heavy now is kinda worrisome. I feel like unless valorant get more popular in Korea their other teams that aren't like VS or Nuturn will start to fall off. Could be from lack of good ranked or competition at home.

True, SEA, JP, and LATAM improved a lot
HardStuckGold [#14]I mean there is no reason to try and play like the best team in the game currently right?
but they lost lmao, clearly the strategy didnt work
tRONGOD [#15]Istg, watching bunny on jett is kinda tilting for me just like in berlin, 2 times bunny played jett on breeze and it was fkin terrible. Not saying bunny is bad but he's so much fkin powerful in Raze anyday.
Yeah but raze has almost no impact on Breeze that's why people play jett for entry. But I agree that he would have been better on Ascent with the raze.

Ik and jett on breeze is kinda necessary so just ban breeze, simple as that.
They got Destroyed by SEN in Breeze but still played Breeze again against SEN and got destroyed again OmegaLuL
And now Bunny on Jett again -_-
It's like they never learn lmao I'm kinda Malding....
ritdro2211 [#11]but still online would be different from LAN rit
The thing that differentiates is the pressure

theres korean orgs looking to get back or join valorant next year! tubeple, spear, and lunatic-hai are rumored to come back and talon, ghibli, mystic are also rumored to join the scene
kr valorant will hopefully step up next year, apac lcq is a good intercontinental practice for korea especially as theres barely any asian tournaments for them to play in, this is good practice for the teams even if they disappoint
sad to see f4q/dk underperform? yes, however this is better for the scene as theyll have a better understanding of how other asian teams play heading into next year

lunatic-hai and tnl posted tryouts on their twitter a while back for next challengers :) big stuff for the scene

I really hope our scene becomes bigger because its SO tiny compared to other regions...
sWan10_exe [#2]alternate title - JP teams getting better and proving us wrong
Jp still bad. Nth carried by seoldam
DeluluGavin [#28]I really hope our scene becomes bigger because its SO tiny compared to other regions...
yea there’s what, 7 or so competitive orgs? actual salaried teams like autocracy and gehenna, goma (idk if theyre even orgs or people taking the name) dont even make it into playoffs
theres so many great players in korea who are current f/a’s, hoping kr can be more competitive in the future (and add double elim to playoffs)
Paracosm [#13]lan isnt exactly lan either, they set up a temporary server for the match so the ping is around 10 anyways
kr dont play on lan, they play on online servers that serve all the other valorant players on the korean peninsula. they just get good ping online, thats all.

that has been f4q's problem forever. not having a jett main is basically suicide in pro valorant rn. it cost f4q and even 100t to an extent.

weren't the matchs like on a stage?

valorant will not improve in kr unless the covid situation gets better OR the TO doesnt require the players to be in location for every minor quals. most teams cannot afford to be in location out of their own pocket, hence they dont enter rn.
number_1_bjor_fan [#33]weren't the matchs like on a stage?
on a stage but the servers were online. if you played valorant in kr at the same time as the games you were being handled by the same server as the pro games was. the first dedicated pro servers for tournament was iceland.

you mean covid in general? cos korea have been playing in one venue since first strike
DeluluGavin [#36]you mean covid in general? cos korea have been playing in one venue since first strike
if covid goes away then other teams will have an easier time coming to the venue. rn you HAVE to be at the venue for even the smallest quals and for the 10th most popular esports in KR some orgs dont shell out the expense.
edit: actually nvm i am explaining covid in kr to someone from kr lol. its just that a lot of people have misconceptions about kr scene.

oohhh i get what you mean... yea we rlly need more orgs that can support players throughout the entire season...
