What will happen if G2 or m8 manages to stay in the franchising by whatever the criteria is( I'm unsure whats the criteria to stay in league but I assume it's qualifying for champs). Will there be 13 teams next season? or 2G takes the hit?

its just whoever doesnt make one so if 2G doesnt then yeah itll be them as the other team will ascend up to make 12 teams.

but it's unfair though right? because ascended teams are meant to be in league for 2 years

i think they made it one year now. 2 years would be nice but i think it makes sure youre bringing the best teams up. however i think it should just be whoever the lowest of the league goes below but franchising is based on the orgs and not whos the better team so :/ they are doing an evaluation tho i think soon so could change some things

just looked it up and this is what val said "If both Ascension teams make it to Champions, the team with the best performance at the tournament will stay while the other team will have the option to compete at Ascension for their spot"

but imagine both go to champs, and one even manages to win, the other does well too, it would be pretty upseting having one of those leaving
