why am I playing against a #27 player in ranked? is it because I finished my 20/20 games?

basically higher the rating, the better the player is. you currently have 0 rating and get anything from +2 to +30 (mostly +13-20) for winning (losing is minus obviously) depending on how much stronger/weaker your opponent is compared to you. Your opponent is probably about the same skill level as you are

Well, I'm silver 1 rn about to get gold in 3 days, I've never seen anyone with a number next to their name and I've probably played around 75 games of ranked in my life. Is there an option to hide it or something or is it default to hide and you have to show your rating?
