it's 100k per 3 ascencion + 20-60k per split for 3 splits a year for 27 Challengers regions = 300k + 3 million for Challengers across the globe.
There are like 5 GC regions in total.
Prize pool doesn't mean anything. Pros get money through salaries. 180k for 1st place go to like 20 people in the orgs and the org.
Ascencion is for EMEA/Americas... a certain region only. GC champ is worldwide aka their version of VCT champ. You're comparing male collegiate NFL to women's world cup.

VCT GC brazil's prize pool is 15k. VCT EMEA challengers stage 1 alone is is 220k.
