Help, I keep seeing this being said everywhere but I still don't understand what the heck does it mean

Brother, there's no need to slander the future generation. Language evolves and while I find the term unusual as well I am in no place to say it is wrong. We must refrain from attacking those who will come after us because they will be building the world long after we are gone.
