Why can't fvcking EMEA have a LAN playoffs like Americas? Is it really that difficult with the budget Riot Games has?
IonlywatchvcjXD [#2]It's probably because emea is the least watched t2 out there+ high cost ( it's europe) + scattered regions+ saving money + riot being stupid etc
vcj guy i have been meaning to ask vaguely remember reading something about riot fucking up T2 japan what is up with that cause i know it has one of the bigger fan bases of t2

no remember it was about qualifying spots for T2 ascension basically along the lines of riot fucking investment for VCJ teams can't remember if it was VCJ specific or general T2 problems

Is the problem being brought up on vlr ? Because I think this is what you have in mind, that might be me lol.
https://www.vlr.gg/401336/i-change-my-mind-about-franchising
It's not as if riot is actively discouraging investments by t2 orgs , it's just the nature of franchising automatically caps the amount of investments because orgs know that only 25 - 30 % will end up on franchising anyways whereas without franchising you will see the fruits of franchising better .
But I do think that overall investments by tier 2 orgs are great in the long run for T2 themselves, look at the japanese players on reject rosters , fennel , riddle and absol. Many of them at some point were on an academy teams.
fatdaddy [#7]the NA LAN Ascension isn't some shining beacon... it has longer tech delays than game play stints
I was about to post a thread about why LAN isn't always a good thing lol
