Hello High School,
I'm here today as a representative of the high school Greenies to share an exciting, student-led initiative that can make a real impact. (pause)
Our mission? Reclaim the Green Flag award for our school— (pause) a prestigious recognition that honors schools committed to sustainability. This award is something we renew every year, but due to COVID, we couldn’t keep up. Now, we’re starting fresh, and we need your help.
This journey is entirely driven by students, with the support of teachers, parents and school administrators. And it’s all about launching creative projects that improve our school’s environment. We’ll tackle areas like biodiversity, energy efficiency, and more. And some examples of projects that we have carried out last year are: community clean ups, implementing meatless tuesday, monitoring water usage, etc
We’re looking for passionate, dedicated students to join us that care about doing their part for the environment and for a better future. Yes, it’ll involve some work, but it’s also a lot of fun, incredibly rewarding, and a perfect fit for a CAS project. Plus, you’ll be making a tangible difference that benefits everyone at our school.
