for me, the new Champs Phantom is the best skin in the game.
even though the skin itself is actually not the best and I believe they could do better, it actually has 2 features that were never before in the game
just fyi, I am a big fan of small details in almost everything, so when I spot them, there is a big chance I will like them
the first feature is the obvious one; people started to talk about it the same day this bundle was released - you can duplicate your phantom gunbuddy on the champs knife, which is kind of cool but not that impressive for me
but NEW killmarks is a killer feature. In VAL, for 4 years straight we were getting bundles with almost the same style of killmarks - kill counter on the outside of the circle, icon in the middle representing the collection you use - which became very boring and stale because you start to notice that from skin to skin there are no changes in the style; maximum, they changed some colors and lines around the circle
and that's where Champs skin comes out of nowhere - banger killmarks, where you already have a difference with the frag counter in the center + using the VCT logo for it, and if you dare to ace/6k with this gun, you are actually being gifted with a beautiful, unique style. Killmarks are finally not just a function for showing how much you killed, but also a style of the skin and a CELEBRATION of your achievements during the match
this thing reminds me of Crossfire, tbh. for the last 5-6 years they are using the same way of making killmarks for their VVIP guns, and i really like that VAL skin dev team actually tried to implement it, who made this idea deserves a praise
