late april - masters 1
late may - july - regular season v2 12 team round robin - top 3 teams go to masters 2 and top 2 go to champs
august - masters 2
september - early october - LCQ 10 teams round robin. top 2 go to champs with regular season #1 and #2
november - december - champs 16 team 4 groups as usual
off season is 3-4 weeks from end of champs mid-december to beginning of regular season in mid january

worlds for LOL is towards the end of the year meaning their main production crew would be there (LOL is riot's baby after all)

tbh I like having an offseason thats like 2-3 months, just so theres time to breathe as a viewer and for other events to happen
