Just a hypothetical calendar. I understand the cons, but this is just something I would enjoy. Drop your opinions.

February week 1 - February week 2
Kickoffs
Three spots to grab for the first masters of the year
Playoffs are double elimination format

March week 1 to March week 2
Masters 1

April week 1 to May week 1
Split 1
Four weeks for normal group stage, one for playoffs

May week 3 to May week 4
Lock in but with a twist. All the best teams from each subregion so far qualify for a double elimination tournament to represent the tier 2 of that region at Lock in. So basically all the tier 1 teams + 4 tier 2 teams in a single elimination format at lock in. Would love to see some tier 2 underdog stories.

4 weeks break

July week 1 to August week 1
Split 2, same as split 1

September week 2 to week 3
Masters 2

October week 2 to October week 3
LCQ, no championship points, it's very confusing.

November Week 2 to Week 4
Champs

somewhat unrelated, but I just wanted to say

Narrative that LOCK/IN is too expensive is a myth/severe
exaggeration.

Let me explain why - every year ESL(a third-party tournament operator) hosts ESL Pro League in CS2 - a tournament that fields 32 teams all across the world.

There's no debate that RIOT has more resources/money than ESL and they could make LOCK/IN happen if they really wanted to.

Let's be honest. They just don't want to. They don't want to do shit except for the bare minimum.

If they want to do that, maybe ion know remove the LCQ/ reduce the June break that I have put. That could be a way.
