Brimstone on Pearl

I know Pearl isnt in the map pool right now but hear me out:
I was watching some clips of T1 vs FUT in champs 2023 and i saw that ATA KAPTAN was running Brimstone instead of the traditional wall smokes like Viper or Harbor, or the bigger smokes like Astra.
I mean I guess Brim has 3 smokes which covers most of the entrances on this map but what are yalls opinions? Do u think Brim on Pearl is a good pick?
(If Brim isnt good on pearl this agent is basically only good on bind and fracture)

further more, "OMG WHY IS BRIM GOOD IN BIND THEN" because its heavy exec style, there's no "MID" in bind. However in pearl there is MID and you need smokes to take control example is smoking off art and etc, brim is just not viable.

yes but if you are gonna run extra controller, harbor + viper is much more better than brim, even OMEN because of the paranoia..

True but I feel like Viper + Astra would be considered as a pretty good combo of controllers

Depends on the style of the team, Not many players can play harbor to a high degree. The only notable players I can think of are MAZINO, S0M, FORSAKEN, TUYZ. Harbor is also a very aggressive-styled controller because of the plays you can do behind it. LATAM and BRAZIL are known for this kind of style and that's why they run it the most. Onto ASTRA I think CLOVE will be a better pick solely because of the fact they can smoke while being dead.

i remember when dsg did it 😵‍💫

that map is burnt into my mind. i believe at that point dsg was way below a lot of tier 3 teams. looked maybe worse than radiant ranked gameplay
