Why mobile game org in the Philippines doesn't invest in valorant? Unlike in Indonesia, they do.
Filipinos like winners. If you dont win you dont get the support of the main stream audience. They view tier 2 as not worth watching.
We have a facebook group that's like 1.2 million people but not even 1% of that tune in to streams. Not to mention that the streaming base is so fragmented, there are people who tune in to multiple websites but majority are tiktok only, fb only, yt only, or twitch only. So its hard to get a critical mass of filipinos to join the stream. When they see twitch or yt streams with sub 1k viewers they'll think its not worth their time.
Edit: I like to add that filipinos will tune in to philippines vs (X country) matches. In a way consolidating the APAC region will bring more filipino viewership
Man our fanbase has one of biggest SEN fans if you mention TenZ or zekken everyone knows them 😂 (cryo as well) ig anyone with filo blood will gain instant support.
I've been following valorant ph esports since 2020(before Adroit Esports came to Bren) and they will only care for the top dogs and not the whole scene.
Not a lot of orgs like to take risks. Orgs like BREN used to field teams when the Valorant system was still like an open league. Now there are 3 degrees of separation from the international tournaments and the local tournaments, orgs feel like its a waste to invest into a scene that doesnt have a chance of playing in international tournaments within the year.
Blacklist CEO Tryke wanted to get into Valorant but its hard when the only time you can get into tier 1 is through the difficult Ascension tournament
SBE was due to financial issues. BREN was due to the fake drug charges the Gong Di administration gave to the CEO.
Tryke really wanted to enter the scene and was asking around social media for months if the valorant ph scene looks good but ultimately i think he decided against it and chose to enter DotA instead.
I think blacklist might enter the scene when the consolidation happens, they want an international audience to market to and i think the consolidation gives them that
It's because Val isn't as big as mobile, plus ph vct viewers aren't as big as other ASEAN countries. So it's not worth it for them

I would say it's just timing.
-Computer rental/netcafe/computer cafes are pretty popular in the Philippines.
-Cov*d happened, and valo came out
-This era ended up boosting the mobile gaming more than the PC gaming.
Maybe give it some time. I think it is only this year that new netcafe businesses are starting to pop-up again
