I already have the monitor and all peripherals, i might upgrade in the future but i already have good enough stuff atm

Might fuck around and get a kf

The asus z790-plus i found says ddr4 in the title, but maybe it's a typo

Ngl i want a 850w psu so i can upgrade in the future without worrying about that, idk about modular and 80+ gold we just went for one from a known brand

We went for the hyper 412r because of size limitations, most cpu coolers won't fit

I'll check the list as soon as i can, thanks, i don't really care about rgb and aesthetic

Oh, seems I was wrong about Z790 being DDR5 exclusive. I don’t see why you’d go for a DDR4 version though. Either save money with a cheaper B660 on DDR4 or go for a more premium DDR5 B760/Z790 — if you’re worried about upgrades, the latter option is better because of robust VRMs and higher RAM speeds on DDR5.

The KF models just mean overclocking without an integrated GPU for trouble shooting.

The NZXT C850 is a speculative A on the Cultist Tierlist and is sourced by Seasonic. It’s listed at €104 but is on sale for €86 rn. Reference the PSU Cultist tierlist and forums to sift through all the unknown models.

Your CPU cooler choice makes a lot more sense with limited clearance. If you’re really limited for space then Thermalright also has the AXP lineup which is a great alternative to Noctua’s L9s.

this is what i came up with, it's still a wip: https://it.pcpartpicker.com/list/3LKbJy

i'm very hesitant to go for ddr5 because of the higher prices so i kept a ddr4 in there

i kept the f model of the i5, i'm not sure about it but the price is much lower and if performances aren't that much worse i'd be glad to take it

the bx500 1tb i already have actually, i bought it on a massive sale last year, so i just put another ssd there that i plan to use as normal memory

i put an axp90 cooler, but i'll check if i can fit an axp120 in the case, thanks for the suggestions

and the nzxt c850 and a rx6800

The F model means that the CPU doesn't have an integrated GPU so it can't output a display without a separate GPU. It's useful if your GPU spontaneously dies on you and for some specific workloads but generally won't lower your performance. If you're concerned about your GPU shipping in faulty or needing to troubleshoot without it, it's worth grabbing a non-F variant.

If you care about upgrading your CPU in the future while still on the LGA 1700 platform — like to a 14700K — then you should go with DDR5. 14th gen intel benefits from a 7% gain in average fps and a 10% improvement for 1% lows when running on DDR5 over DDR4. Several B760 boards ranging from €150 to €180 give you the same practical connectivity on a DDR5 platform, saving you enough money to afford a 32GB kit of DDR5-6000 CL30 RAM and maybe even the non-F CPU skew if you choose toward the lower-end. Lower cost doesn't always mean a worse product — some of it is brand value and niche features.

Also, I noticed that the AXP series isn't that affordable in Italy but you can order the 120mm version from Amazon.de for about €38. Check the CPU cooler height clearance for your case though, because it can be difficult to approximate by eye. Most ATX cases can accommodate the Peerless Assassin so I'm a bit confused why yours doesn't. Can you tell me what the case is?

Edit: Sentence Structure.

i don't expect my gpu to come in faulty nor do i think we'll troubleshoot without it so i might as well get the f model

i can find the axp for 20-30 euros so it should be fine; i have a pretty old Cooler Master case, i have no idea what it is called (the most similar model seems to be a Cooler Master N300) so i took some measurements myself: it's 480(L);410(H);190(W)mm with the space for components inside being 330(L);400(H);180(W)mm

edit: apparently that 6800 doesn't fit in the case, being 340mm long; would a 7800xt ( https://it.pcpartpicker.com/product/fcBzK8/sapphire-pulse-radeon-rx-7800-xt-16-gb-video-card-11330-02-20g ) or a 7700xt ( https://it.pcpartpicker.com/product/VTFmP6/gigabyte-gaming-oc-radeon-rx-7700-xt-12-gb-video-card-gv-r77xtgaming-oc-12gd ) be worth it?

I can’t recommend either the 7700XT or 7800XT at their current listings. Compared to the 6800:

  1. 7700XT costs €50 more but has

    • = performance and efficiency
    • AV1 encoding
    • 4GB less VRAM
  2. 7800XT costs €150 more and has

    • 20% more performance
    • AV1 encoding

Any argument that could be made for improved RT performance will point you to a4070 which is only €50 more than the 7800XT.

You honestly might be better off just buying a new case to fit in that €390 6800. This would also give you the option to pick a more robust cooler than the AXP because of improved clearance.

I did some tweaking with my other suggestions in mind and settled on a final build.

https://it.pcpartpicker.com/user/WoozyKoala/saved/XGYKhM

First, I got you on a DDR5 platform with a better value B760m motherboard. It’s an mATX form factor so I chose the Lancool 205 Mesh case as it’s one of the best quality options that can fit that RX 6800. The case also provides clearance for a larger CPU cooler so I opted for the Assassin Spirit 120 EVO since it’s unmatched at €20. While the case includes two front 140mm fans, I added a 3-pack of Arctic P12s but you can get LianLi ST 120s if you care for matching aesthetics/RGB.

I know it might seem odd but getting a new case likely is the best option here. Other GPU options are either poor compromises or break your budget. On the bright side, this build is one mean, compact machine.

thanks, i think i'll do something real similar to this but with my case, i'm gonna cut in the ssd holders to fit the gpu

i'll also try to fit the assassin and if it doesn't fit i'll just refund it on amazon and get the axp

thank you very much for helping me out
