KR Region Question

KR is basically most talented player in PACIFIC.

That doesn't need to be explained.
But why don't KR Tier 2 teams have as much clout other Pacific Tier 2 teams?
2023 Ascension DK didn't perform too well either.

From what i have heard in KR tier -2 salaries are very less so good Kr players go to Japan or China or other regions to Play in their tier -2

South Korean players are dominating the Japanese tier 2 region.

DK korea is known to contract jail players. They don't sell their players to other KR org. Its the reason why t3xture had to go GE, Estrella to RRQ and Lakia had to go Free Agent contract expiry to join GenG.

The same goes for all jp Imports

League of Legends is still the most popular esport in KR

and from there the hype for KR Valorant got absorbed by the big orgs in franchising (DRX/VS, T1, GenG)

Dplus is pretty much the only current KR challengers team to have a major presence outside of Valorant (LoL and PUBG mainly)

Meanwhile all of the JP challengers teams either have regional dominance in another esport (REJECT even won an international Apex Legends event not too long ago) or have major streamers backing them up (Murash/Riddle). That plus the salary thing makes playing abroad much more enticing.
