Challengers Format

So the challengers format per split is just a single elim??? Im guessing the winner gets points for ascension?
This is even dumber than franchise playoffs

this isn't a split, it's the midseason cup— each split is played in a a group stage format. winner of the midseason cup gets a cash prize and circuit points towards playoffs, not ascension.
