New format. #1 gets to pick their opponent.

But that could still be done with upperbracket finals no

The grand final winner gets a bye to playoffs and avoids the group swiss stage

They also get to choose their opponents from the qualified swiss stage teams

if so the team that reaches the lower bracket will never have the chance to be #1.
Apart from picking their opponents, they directly qualify for playoffs skipping the Swiss stage (which is a great opportunity in my opinion).

Lower finals indeed could've just been a BO3 since it doesn't have qualification implications but grand finals is for extra championship points and a playoffs spot in Shangai.

? No

The reason UF exists is so that the UF winner can have an advantage in the GF

Well upper bracket winner teams haven't lost a match so it's justified but where is the justification in going out in 1st match

yep yep yep

lmao, its good cuz the winning team would get time to cook up strats but it'll be bad for them cuz they head straight into must win situations

because one of them will still qualify for Shanghai and is an equal candidate for the trophy. Just an upper + lower brackets format.

Why no . Upper bracket winner haven't lost a match . It would be better than this first game knockout crap
