wouldn’t it be better if cryo played omen and eeiu plays Skye and boostio plays cypher

astra's a better hard anchor
cypher is not necessarily needed on split especially if ur playing astra

That is true but surely you would have better success on defense with a cypher no?

i think its bc cryo alr been playing astra and stuff last year and eeiu is very strong on fade, so this comp, while kinda off meta, suits the players really good and that's why its working well

Makes sense btw cryo didn’t play Astra last year he played omen and sage, chamber with jett. That’s why I thought the omen pick on cryo should a no brainer on split

my bad i’m tweaking out sorry. although cryo did play a lot of astra/brim in kickoff like demon1 did last year, so maybe they wanted to keep it the same and not change much

what even is the split meta
sentinels might be the only team that played that comp to good success, and they got absolutely shit on by prx's double dive

if you play for holding site sure, if you play for retakes cypher wont help much unless he has ult or lurks but viper and astra are both already good lurkers on that map

eeius fade is world class, its just more comfort roles and synergy

the roles work at least, cus asuna can play kayo on jett-dominated maps like icebox, then you could pair that with eeius fade or sova (nowhere as good as his fade) and boostio can play sentinel, pretty comfy overall
