I've done some schizo level analysis and I've concluded that Shanghai format will most likely be as follows
Same format of group stage as Tokyo, #1 team in each region will auto qualify to playoffs and #2 and #3 will be sent to groups
Shanghai will have almost the exact same playoffs bracket as Tokyo EXCEPT the upper quarterfinals will be a knockout round.
Please bully me if I end up being wrong

Either what I said in the post or riot is going to do some really weird shit where it's the Tokyo playoff bracket but before upper quarterfinals it's a knockout round with all 8 #2 and #3 teams 😭
