league playoffs formaf

Can someone explain.

I noticed on liquipedia that both Americas and EMEA, their playoff seedings is based on overall rankings, for example a team from Group Omega can be matched up with a team from Group Alpha in the knockout round

But on Pacific and China, Group Alpha rank 2 will automatically faced the Group Alpha rank 3, same case with Group Omega

Why is it that they have different playoff formats?

no it will be same for sure...its just that emea and americas have not officially confirmed it

its true that seed one each group gets 1 extra championship point? for example kru secured the first seed (5-0 record), so has 6 championship points
