I'm on the start of punk hazard Arc RN and after the previous arc (fishman (a bit boring)) im getting burnt out. should i switch to the manga or stay anime?
On tiktok we call One Piece "mid piece".
That shit is trash. If you are a kid I can see it being entertaining but if you are an older person with any sort of sophisticated taste in Art and Literature you will recognize it for being formulaic and shallow.
No doubt the morons on here will love it tho.
You are watching anime, that is your problem.
It's catered towards children, even the "adult" anime is just catered towards edgy 14 year olds.
I implore you to study the works of great writers and film directors, there is a whole world of artistic expression out there that isn't held back by a juvenile medium with a fetish for schoolchildren.
lmaooooo anime is for all ages. you can't handle something being good even if it is for 'kids'. i almost guarantee you that most watchers have seen 'good' movies/tv shows before watching anime. while I don't disagree that some movies are world-class, anime can be good too. but you've just narrowed down something since you can't perceive something being good when its in a 'cartoon' form. you have a shallow mind. what also art can be expressed in many different ways. there's many ways to express something in anime form that you can't in actual movies or TV. its not my fault you have a disjointed view of the world
It's not about being "cartoon form." It's that the industry almost exclusively creates shows that are either for children, or adults obsessed with children.
Have you ever wondered why 99% of shows that aren't fantasy/scifi are set in highschool? Don't you notice that the medium refuses to tackle stories with adults?
bruh you're some seasoned 43 year old anime watcher if you review one piece in the category of being 'sophisticated' . i just like watching good shit and if the shit make me feel good then its good. no other person can change my opinion. you're a sheep lol. its good to see other people's opinion so you dont become self centered but this is the dumbest shit i've ever read.
